Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

Journal of Endocrine Tests adheres to the standards of research and publication ethics and does not permit any form of plagiarism. If plagiarism is detected in articles submitted to the journal for publication, the responsibility lies with the authors.In case of any suspicion or allegation of scientific deficiencies or ethical violations, the Journal reserves the right to submit the manuscript to the supporting institutions or other authorities for investigation.

Journal of Endocrine Tests accepts responsibility for initiating action but does not assume any responsibility for the actual investigation or any decision-making authority.

Journal of Endocrine Tests Editorial Board and the responsible Publisher adhere to the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), the Council of Science Editors (CSE), the European Association of Science Editors (EASE), the US National Library of Medicine (NLM), the World Medical Association (WMA), and the National Information Standards Organization (NISO). The Journal complies with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Academic Publishing.

As a policy of the journal, all research studies require approval of research protocols by an ethics committee in accordance with the international agreements "WMA Declaration of Helsinki - Ethical Principles for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects (last updated: October 2013, Fortaleza, Brazil)", "Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (8th ed., 2011)" or "International Guidelines for Biomedical Research Involving Animals (2012)". If the submitted manuscript does not contain ethics committee approval, it will not be considered for review.

For articles concerning experimental research on human subjects, a statement indicating that informed consent was obtained from patients and volunteers should be included, followed by a detailed description of the procedures they may undergo. The journal may request a copy of the Ethics Committee Approval from the authors.

Ethical Responsibility

All authors must have made a direct academic and/or scientific contribution to the submitted article. Authors must have all of the following characteristics: Plan or conduct the study in the article, write or review the article, and approve the final draft.

The journal seeks compliance with the provisions of the Declaration of Helsinki (http://www.wma.net/e/policy/b3.htm) in all clinical studies.

The scientific and ethical responsibility of the articles belongs to the authors, while the copyright belongs to the Journal of Endocrine Tests.

Authors are responsible for the content of the article and the accuracy of the references.

A Copyright Transfer Form [copyright transfer] must be included in all articles submitted for publication. After this form, signed by all authors, is submitted, it is understood that neither the article nor the data it contains have been submitted or published elsewhere, and the authors declare that all authors declare their scientific contributions and responsibilities.

If there are direct or indirect commercial connections in the article or any institution has provided financial support for the study, the authors must state in the cover letter the relevant commercial product, drug, pharmaceutical company, etc. They should state that they have no relationship with the journal or state the type of relationship (consultant, other agreements) if any. Authors should make a statement that there is no conflict of interest between the authors and provide authorship contributions. In case of any suspicion or claim regarding scientific deficiencies or ethical violations, the Journal reserves the right to submit the article to the supporting institutions or other authorities for investigation. The Journal accepts the responsibility to initiate the action but does not assume any responsibility for the actual research or any decision-making authority.

A signed patient consent form must be submitted in case reports.

An ethical approval form must be submitted for all original articles except bibliometric and cell culture studies.

Ethics approval is required for retrospective studies and surveys, questionnaires, etc.

Authors cannot be added or removed after the article is submitted to the journal.
